TOA - Teaching Others Africa
While serving in Uganda as business managers for Africa Bible University and Westminster Theological Seminary, Bob and Mary Bolitho saw that very few African Church leaders could afford to leave their homes, churches and ministries to get the formal bible training needed to faithfully train and disciple their churches. Instead of uprooting church leaders and sending them out to expensive bible colleges, the bible training needed to be brought to them in their local communities.
With this vision in mind, 15 years ago Africans Teaching Africans was born. A bible curriculum was developed and select graduates of bible colleges and seminaries were chosen to teach ATA's solid biblical foundation to church leaders within reach of their home areas. The program was wildly successful and quickly spread to more than 20 countries in Africa with 10's of thousands of church leaders receiving foundational bible training, all while remaining in their home communities continuing their local ministries.
Now rebranded as Teaching Others Africa (TOA), this vital ministry continues throughout Africa, bringing solid bible teaching directly to the communities where it is needed, and also bringing unity to the body of Christ as church leaders from all denominations study God's Word together.
