IGO was born to provide International Believers with Bible Training, Organization and other needed resources
In the same way that most American based mission boards train and provide support structures for western missionaries to serve overseas, the purpose of IGO is to provide a solid foundation in the Bible, technical support and other resources to international believers for them to effectively minister within their own countries.
We believe that our International Partnership program is one of the most effective ways to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ, because the people ministering in their home countries already know the language and culture, are already on location, and are ready to give their lives for the gospel. All they need is someone to train, equip and send them. The goal of IGO is to partner with international believers and assist them in their efforts to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. IGO is actively involved in seeking out dedicated believers worldwide who are currently in ministry and helping to train, equip and send them out as even more effective ministers of the Gospel Traditional missions involves sending western missionaries to evangelize people groups overseas. While this method is still necessary in many areas of the world, it is an expensive and lengthy process to send them. Meanwhile there is a huge, highly effective and inexpensive missionary resource left largely untapped... the local believer. |
